Growing up in London I always had a strong passion for art which later on grew into multiple creative fields. When I was younger I mostly enjoyed fine art and practiced with all types of mediums. As this passion for drawing and painting grew I started to explore the digital art world. This is when I started creating digital illustrations, custom typography and much more. Even though I work a lot on the computer, you’ll still find me at the drawing table with my pencils, pens and paints.
As my love and interest for digital design kept growing, I secured an apprenticeship as a digital artworker. This was such a fun experience as I was challenged with real life briefs and my creative mind was pushed. Now I work with multiple start up businesses to bring their creative ideas to life. I love designing minimal and organic work which showcases fun, quirky illustrations, neutral colour palettes and editorial visuals.
When starting a new project, I always begin with a brainstorming and researching workshop. This is where me and the client come together with all our ideas and try to piece them together. As well as this, we also explore what other similar brands are doing right and wrong, what our ideal customer would look like and why they would want to buy into the brand. By having this understanding we can begin to build.
Now that we have all the information needed, we can begin building the logo, typeface, colour palette, imagery and more. When going through this process, I'll make sure to keep referring back to our initial brainstorming session as that is where our creativity and understanding lay. This ensures that the designs will be in alignment with the brands audience.
Here is when the refinement happens. Now we have our designs, colour palette and imagery, we can piece everything together to reveal the look and feel of the brand. This provides a guideline for the brand and for the client to follow.
