Podcast Artwork

For this project we were given a simple brief describing the concept of the podcast, the audience, the tone and any design ideas the podcast team had. Along with this we were also given some photography assets of Jamie. We started by having a research and brainstorming session where we looked at other podcast artwork, typography, layouts, use of imagery and more. 

Building from this session we took all the research gathered and began hand sketching and even painting ideas and refining the few ideas that had some potential. We then took our ideas and put them into photoshop where we were able to manipulate the designs, change the layouts and kept refining. For the artwork we wanted to create a quirky playful feeling. We achieved this through the typography and its layout as well as being quite literal with the imagery. We knew we wanted to use an image of a pig but in a playful way. Once we had multiple designs, as a team we selected the top 5 ideas to put forward. We pitched the ideas and presented them to the podcast team ready for their feedback. After hearing the pros, cons and favorites, we refined where needed on the selected designs and it was now ready to be used.
